How to sell CIEE College Counseling

1/9/2018

CIEE College Counseling provides a suite of services available in two different packages, and each package sold features a $500 commission for international representatives:

College Prep Gold
  • This package, which includes 30 hours of one-to-one college counseling, is designed for students in their freshman, sophomore, or early in their junior year of high school and want to get a head start on the college admissions process. Services carry through to the end of their senior year.

College Prep Silver
  • This package, which includes 20 hours of one-to-one college counseling, is designed for students in their junior or senior year of high school.

Students with a smaller budget, or those who have more focused areas of concern, may also take advantage of our more affordable Essential services, each of which includes four hours of one-to-one counseling. International representatives receive a $200 commission for each Essential service sold. These services include:
  • Planning Your Future: Explore interests, discover college majors, discuss future goals, and develop a testing timeline.
  • Essay Advising: Brainstorm, write, and revise the main essay with the help of expert guidance and feedback. Students will also get feedback on two supplemental essays.
  • College Selection: Build a tailored college list based on interests, skills, and future academic and career goals.
  • Applying: Get expert guidance and advice on the college application. Students will also have the opportunity to prepare for interviews through mock sessions.

All CIEE College Counseling services are provided remotely via Skype or GoToMeeting, allowing students to participate from the comfort of their own home – no matter where they live!

NOTES ON THE PROGRAM:

Our dedicated college counselor utilizes CollegePlannerPro, an innovative platform that records all notes and provides an easy-to-use checklist that makes it easy for students to track their progress. In addition, the website for CIEE College Counseling will be up and running in the new year and will feature a growing list of free resources about college planning and admissions in the U.S. Our website will also feature quarterly webinars about important topics in international education. The first topic will be Adjusting to Education in the U.S.: What Do International Students Need to Consider? This webinar will take place on Wednesday, January 17th at 7p.m. EST. Expect an invitation soon!

Please also expect e-mail updates from CIEE College Counseling, and our dedicated college counselor, throughout the year. These e-mails will include facts about the U.S. college admissions process and other program information.

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR CIEE COLLEGE COUNSELING

  • Students may indicate the package they want to purchase on their Beacon application.
  • Students may also sign up for a free, one-hour CIEE College Counseling session with Marisa Polk, our dedicated college counselor, by visiting our Calendly  page.   Marisa will thereafter contact the appropriate international representative to discuss what packages or services are best suited for the student.
  • International representatives may send a signed CIEE College Counseling agreement directly to mpolk@ciee.org. This form can be found on the International Representative Resource Center here.

If you have any questions or would like to make a referral, please contact our CIEE’s dedicated college counselor, Marisa Polk, at mpolk@ciee.org!
