Help your students stand out from the crowd

3/22/2017

Hundreds of international students apply to study at America's prestigious public, private, and boarding schools every year, and it is easy for applications to blend together.

School admissions staff  want to know what makes a student unique, and how that student will add value to their school community.  We want to help your students stand out from the crowd and increase the likelihood of acceptance to their school of choice.

As your  students apply to the  High School Study USA program this year, encourage them to think about the following when filling out their applications:

  • Does your student have a unique skill  or  strength? Whether it is an academic strength, personal skill, or athletic talent,  these can add value to a school community and make a student stand out from others.

  • Does the student have a memorable life experience? Encourage them to share their experience in their application, and explain how that experience influenced their decision to study in the United States.

  • Pay attention to deadlines!  Deadlines come up fast, and  many schools will not consider applications submitted past the deadline.  Stay organized by helping your student create a list of application deadlines, and tasks needed to complete each.

For more information on specific schools and application requirements, please reach out to your International Sales Consultant.
